What is faster eft?
Faster eft "can address any personality type, any style of thinking. Faster eft is built on the idea that whatever you think your body follows." (Jones, 2008) Thinking, emotions and feelings are addressed in the process of faster eft and "it is the belief that what you are thinking in your mind you are manifesting in your life whether negative or positive."(Jones, 2008)
The belief system of faster eft is that you are perfect just the way you are and your thoughts, emotions and feelings have succeeded in keeping you safe. They are aligned to what you believe to be true for you in your life at the time that you discover this truth. This truth is based on your experiences, emotions, fears, judgments, beliefs, etc. that have been stored in the mind, both conscious and unconscious.
Your truth can change as you begin to realign and reprogram your beliefs according to transformations that occur in your life as you release negative belief systems.
Faster eft is a system created by Robert G. Smith that helps to release stress (not simply reduce it) and in turn create positive change for anything you are willing to work towards. The work comes in with a skill set similar to that of acupressure which has been used for thousands of years in eastern medicine. close your eyes
you can use any image that signifies letting go for you, for example a tree.
close your eyes
- focus on your problem. how do you know you have the problem? feel it (image, sensation, sounds)
- stay in tune with it and make it as strong as you can.
- rate the intensity from 0-10 (0=gone, 10=big problem)
- picture in your hand a bunch of balloons. notice the colors, shape and size. now let go of the balloons and see them float up and away.
- when they have all disappeared from you view open your eyes.
you can use any image that signifies letting go for you, for example a tree.
- imagine a tree in your mind’s eye directly in front of you.
- pull out that tree with all the roots.
- what happens to the tree when you pull it out by the roots? it falls over and dies.
grab your wrist with opposite hand and squeeze
- take a deep breath in and
- blow it out
- say: “peace”
- let go of your wrist
- rate your intensity again.
- has it changed?
- now remember a peaceful time in your life, just a good feeling
- check the body, feelings, if there is any left,
- tap
- between the eyes its safe to let it go
- side of the eye this is my mind
- under the eye this is my body
- collar bone and I release & let go of all the stresses, and all the sensations,
